Inspired by acrostic presentations found in original Hebrew scriptures, Colleen
D.C. Marquez created her first YOU IN THE WORD personalized scripture
picture as a Valentine gift for her daughter in 2002. Five years later, Carpentree
partnered with Colleen to launch YOU IN THE WORD™ nationwide at the
International Christian Retailers’ Show in Atlanta.
Colleen is
married to her husband and best friend, Mickey, and they make their home
in the San Francisco Bay Area with their two children they adopted at
birth.
As of January 2011, Colleen was hired as Director of
Outreach -San Francisco Bay Area, for Bethany Christian Services.
Bethany is the nation’s largest adoption agency, and also cares for
women facing unplanned pregnancies and orphans living on five
